Studio photography

I have access to a studio space in Arabia, Helsinki, and I bring my own lighting, so a session does not depend on finding a venue. Two sessions in early 2025 show the range: masked portraits against black, and long exposures with coloured light. For Fashcene 27 I shot the team against black in the studio.

My own flashes, softboxes, stands and reflectors mean I can plan the light before the day, build the same set again for a whole team, and shoot everyone in one session with the same look. I was also studio assistant on the new portrait headshots for a large Helsinki law firm.

My equipment is mobile, so the studio can come to you: an office, a meeting room or an event venue. I build one fixed shooting point, light it before the first person arrives and keep the same look all day.

I shoot tethered to a laptop, so every picture appears on the screen as soon as I take it. You and the people I photograph can see it straight away, and I can adjust while we are still there.
